Samuel M. Young, Jr.

Samuel M. Young, Jr. PhD is a Professor in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology and the Director of Molecular Auditory Research in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. He is also a member of the Iowa Neuroscience Institute, Aging Mind Brain Initiative, and Pappajohn Biomedical Institute

Samuel M. Young, Jr. joined the University of Iowa in 2017. Prior to that he was the Max Planck Research Group Leader of Research Group-Molecular Mechanisms for Synaptic Function at the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience (2010-2017).
